here are the random thoughts and bursts of emotions of a girl who's two years older than her perceived age. if the therapeutic claims of blogging are true, then she'll survive with accepting that reality and the neverending emocoaster that being alive costs her. read on.

Yes, I am so over the first call. How did it go?

I can’t remember quite clearly.

All I know is that the caller hung-up and before I knew it, I was speaking to a different card holder.

We have to press the ACW (after call work) button after we receive a call. Because if we don’t, a new call would automatically come in once the present caller hangs-up.

The second call was okay. And so were the calls after it. I don’t remember clearly how each call went but one thing is for sure, I was so slow and I sound really nervous. Oh well.

I’m just really thankful that the people who called me are so nice. I am so sure they have a halo and a pair of nice, white wings.:)

I had a really funny call though. It was from TL (team leader) Jade. I was on ACW and typing my notes on the previous call when my (Avaya) phone rang (as in an indiscreet “Ring! Ring!”) which was weird because our phones don’t ring whenever we receive a call. We would just hear a beep and then automatically, the call would be connected.

Anyway, I put my headset back on and said a stupid (as in pang-tangang) “hello?” and TL Jade went, “Dear, you’ve been on ACW for 20 minutes.” Then I go, “I’m sorry TL, I just got confused with my call and I’m doing my notations. I’m going to post the note now then take a call immediately. Sorry, TL.”

She hung-up and left me dumbfounded at my station. Grabe, has it been that long? As in almost half an hour? OA. And did my phone really ring? Weird.

Aside from getting myself more familiar with the system and its procedures, I guess I have to do away with being so meticulous with the notes that I write. Kasi naman, medyo kina-career ko talaga. Like I would be re-reading the note a hundred times and edit some words before I finally post it.

But writing about it just now, I think I don’t EVER want to do away with it. I am still dreaming of becoming a writer and that habit is very important to a writer. I need it. So instead of doing away with it, I’m just going to develop my ‘noting’ skills so as not to compromise my writing skills.

Wow, now I’m amazed because I just turned something negative to something positive.

Blogging is really great. Makes you realize things during press time.

I so love writing and blogging.

last week of PST. transition starts next week. gawd, things are getting more tiring. and i need to exert an effort to go through this freakin' training--and transition.

waa. there are so many things to memorize, so many procedures to get myself familiar with. yes, in due time, these will all come second nature to me but the thing is, that "due time" is yet to come.

how to deal? presence of mind. grace under pressure. yep, i learned that from DevComSoc but i think it's different here. suddenly, it seems like i'm no good at all. i just did another mock call earlier and i sucked. i did not suck that much but i sucked. period.

now i'm thinking: "is this really for me?"

oh well, i guess i just have to hang in here. adopt a new mindset. i am so sorry i used to think this job is so freakin' easy. and for those people who still think that way, please don't let me know it.
