First (pay) day funk. Lalala. I just made my first major purchase and it’s for a pair of the most perfect sneakers made on earth. Haha.

The moment I saw one of my wavemates wearing them last Friday, I swore to myself that I would buy a pair as soon as I take out my pay from the ATM (in a different color, of course. Jon’s is green. So cute. Really.). Sadly though, I wasn’t able to find one in any of Nike’s/Toby’s stores in Ayala. I resigned to my sad fate and went home after dragging my wavemates (thanks Mex, Trish and Barbs!) to my tiring quest.

Then when my mom and I were shopping in Festival Mall yesterday, I went to Hall of Fame and there it was—light-blue, on the spotlight and gleaming for me to see. Seriously, it was the first thing I saw when I entered the shop (though it was on the racks at the side and there were a lot of people because Festi was having a ‘sale’). It seemed as if it called me. I heeded its call, of course, and I can never be happier.

Guess the perfume, the pair of slim-fit jeans and nice top would have to wait for the next pay day.

Earning your own keep and stashing it on whatever you want is so much fun.

I thought I was going to experience the ‘City’ night-life last night but because of the freakin’ typhoon and the heavy traffic that came with it, I have to back-out from the gimmick. Oh well. There will be a ‘next-time’, I’m sure. And in that ‘next-time’, I’ll be seeing myself in a pair of slim-fit jeans and a slammin’ top. Haha. Dream, dream, dreams.
